Frequently Asked Questions

The AgriData CoOp is a farmer-owned, controlled, and operated cooperative that treats farm data as a valuable "cash crop." It exists to help farmers maximize the value of their data for better farm decisions, generate new revenue streams through data licensing, and protect data ownership from private companies. It also supports national security by monitoring threats to food production and promotes generational farming stability by making farming a viable career for the next generation.

Your data is owned by the CoOp, which is fully owned and operated by farmers. Unlike private companies, the CoOp ensures farmer values guide data use. All licensing opportunities are vetted and approved by farmer-elected representatives, and you retain control over how your data is shared, keeping it secure and farmer-first.

The CoOp collects data from farming activities like tilling, planting, fertilizing, spraying, and harvesting. These data points, generated by modern farming equipment, are uploaded to the CoOp to create insights and drive value for members.

Financial: Earn dividends from data licensing, adding a new income source.

Operational: Access AI agents that analyze your historical yields and activity to optimize decisions, all while keeping your data under farmer control.

Strategic: Strengthen farming’s future by supporting national food security and promoting generational stability.

Food production is a national security issue. By pooling farm data, the CoOp provides early visibility into potential threats (e.g., pest outbreaks or yield anomalies) that could indicate sabotage, helping protect farmers and the nation’s food supply.

With farms facing rising costs and fewer young farmers (only 2% of US farmers are under 35), the CoOp uses data-driven insights to improve profitability and demonstrate farming’s viability as a career, encouraging the next generation to continue family legacies.

Any US grower contributing relevant farm data can join. The CoOp is open to farmers of all sizes, ensuring equal opportunity to benefit from data-driven insights and dividends, regardless of farm scale.

Yes. The CoOp prioritizes farmer control.  All data-sharing decisions require approval by farmer-elected representatives, and the CoOp will use the latest security measures to protect your information.
